How I got here

Caro’s Story

The Journey

Being a hard working creator with an exploring mind and a jewellery making background with these skills and a love for the natural world inspiring my work and giving me a unique perspective when creating my jewellery like sculptural works that have complemented home decor world wide. I love the challenge of creating something new from found objects like a spade that spent a life digging has new life houses a forest some of my plasma art range. I find a great deal of joy in creating an odd marriage of materials for example silk with steel aluminium and wax. Not content with just sculpting I have busied myself with the aloof art of life drawing.  I have involved myself with 3 life sessions facilitating 2 sessions at Midland Junction Arts Center and arranging the models for Figure Art Bassendeen one of the largest groups in the Perth drawing scene.  I am drawing on average 18 hours a week working on painting portraits also drawing with charcoal on paper.

Being creative has helped me get through some difficult times enabling some breathing room escaping the minds merciless babble,  challenging myself creating large sculptural Jewellery to adorn spaces and walls in homes or offices including the garden.

I have the opportunity to teach other artists what I do and helping them to create for themselves this gives me great joy.

If you have ever wanted to play with hot molten metal or create a image like the ancient’s did with charcoal or beeswax.
